Thats completely normal and will only be there when you first start up the game. Don't be surprised when you get some kind of black color in your character selection screen. Now bring up the menu with Shift + F2 and click on "home" and in the small dropdown menu there will automatically be a preset called "Warm Nights of Elona.ini" which you just click and you're done! Easy peasy. This will make sure that the game only loads the shaders we need which speeds up the process enourmously.ĭrag & Drop "Warm Nights of Elona.ini" into your Guild Wars 2 bin64 folder ("C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\Warm Nights of Elona.ini") and simply start the game with ReShade installed. fx Shader-files in there EXCEPT "AmbientLight.fx", "Colourfulness.fx", "FilmicPass.fx", "Levels.fx", "ReShade.fxh" and "Tonemap.fx".
Go into "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\reshade-shaders\Shaders" and create a folder called "inactive" and drag ALL. After loading the Warm Nights of Elona Preset into your game, close Guild Wars 2 and go to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder. OPTIONAL: To speed up the loading of the shaders by like 90%, open the ReShade menu (Shift + F2) and under Settings activate "Performance mode".
Start the game and open up the ReShade menu with Shift + F2 IMPORTANT! Uncheck "run in compatibility mode" for GW2.exe Open up "d3d9.ini" and add "\bin64" between "\Guild Wars 2" and "\reshade-shaders" to BOTH text lines so it looks like this: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\reshade-shaders\Shaders" and "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\bin64\reshade-shaders\Textures" Install ReShade 3.0.6 (don't know if ReShade in general works with the latest version 3.0.8) download it here: ĭrag the new files "d3d9.dll", "d3d9.ini" and folder "reshade-shaders" into your bin64 folder I'm absolutely sure that many ppl will enjoy this preset just like me, especially regarding the upcoming desert theme with the Path of Fire expansion.īloodstone Fen: (Note: Mouse on the picture is with preset OFF unlike the other pictures) None of that filmic filters or annoying sharp effects that affect the UI. My goal with this preset was to create a slightly more saturated, warm and REALISTIC (!) look. I'm sure, many ReShade users know the old preset called "sweet, sharp and subtle" for the previous versions which won't work anymore. I'm a big fan of subtle and warm shader presets so I tinkered the whole day, adjusted everything by hand and came up with my preset called "Warm Nights of Elona". I really put a lot of work into this so this will be my last repost since I know that many people out there would enjoy this!
